Colombian born Paulo Olarte is based in Hamburg/Germany. He is the owner, a&r and main act of the label freshfish records, wich he runs together with hausmann c. He also releases his work on labels such as: liebe*detail, diynamic, eminor, galaktika records and anorak tonträger. His style is funky, minimal, deep and dark, but very influenced by latinamerican rhythm and romantic vocals always keeping the dancefloor in sight, he is well known for intelligent and sweaty DJ-sets. At his studio he works only with hardware most of it analogue, giving his productions an intensely raw and emotional touch. Oldskool not only in his way of work, he is still one of the djs spinning vinyl. ´cause we love the undergroud! |
